Property Sale & Business Relocation
Lincolnshire Agricultural Society
Acting for the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society in respect of their commercial land holdings at and around the Lincolnshire Showground, Sam Elkington was able to achieve a notable period of consolidation and expansion for the Society. Firstly he was able to be the catalyst for the relocation of Bishop Burton Agricultural College’s new facilities and campus to the north of the showground on land deemed surplus to the Society’s then needs. There has since been a second phase of development by the College.
Secondly Sam was able to bring about the sale of unallocated land for a two-phase development of revolutionary “Eco-Housing” adjacent to the new college. Finally when the opportunity arose he negotiated the acquisition of additional land which is now utilised as further car parking for the Lincolnshire Show.
The key skills employed here were the realisation of opportunities available to a client, identifying the end-user and carrying out the negotiations on behalf of the Agricultural Society. At the same time Sam had to work with the Local Planning Authority to bring forward a change in their current attitude towards the future development of the site.
