Acting for a consortium of local landowners, Sam Elkington was able to actively promote an unallocated agricultural holding to achieve an allocation initially for 290 residential dwellings which has subsequently been extended by a further 305 dwellings.
As part of the promotion and allocation terms were negotiated with a national residential house builder for the sale of the first phase which has been extended into the second phase.
Also achieved was a sale of a site for a Care Home as well as another area for an Anaerobic Digester.
The skill sets employed, were the bringing forward of an unallocated site and achieving delivering the development of the same – when other allocated sites have yet to be delivered – along with harnessing private land owners’ aspirations along with those of a national housebuilder as well as those of the local planning authority.
